Every day after school and all summer long, youth from all across North Florida enter through our doors to discover academic support, enrichment activities, and caring adult mentors who help them become healthy, productive citizens. Our programs are designed not just to build academic competency, but to help children discover and develop their unique gifts and talents while building the self-confidence they need to succeed.
Our health and wellness programs help young people make smart choices and develop habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.
The SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resilience Training) program addresses challenges such as substance use and premature sexual activity. Through engaging discussions, role-playing exercises, and critical thinking activities, members practice resilience and refusal skills, analyze peer and media influences, and strengthen their decision-making abilities. Our ultimate goal is to promote responsible behavior and healthy choices.
This specialized program is designed to meet the unique developmental needs of girls through health education, fitness activities, and self-esteem enhancement. In small-group settings, participants explore personal and societal values while building skills for healthy eating, physical fitness, and positive relationships with peers and adults. Field trips and mentoring opportunities with adult women provide practical, real-world guidance.

Our comprehensive health and wellness program addresses the whole child through three components:
We understand that education is the foundation for future success. Last year, 100% of our High School Seniors graduated! Our educational programs include:
Every day after school, Power Hour provides a quiet, supportive environment where members can complete homework with assistance from trained, caring staff. This structured time helps build good study habits and academic discipline.
This college readiness program for middle school members provides guidance and support as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education. Through a range of services, we help young people set and pursue academic goals that will lead to future success.
Our highly successful College Access program helps teens navigate the path to college admission through individualized college prep support. Services include one-on-one case management, test preparation, college field trips, and access to scholarship opportunities, ensuring that higher education remains within reach for all our members.
Designed for teens ages 13-18, CareerLaunch prepares members for careers and workplace success. Participants explore potential vocations, learn to make sound educational decisions, and develop professional workplace behaviors through hands-on experiences and guidance.
This financial literacy program promotes responsibility and independence by teaching teens essential money management skills. Members learn practical skills including managing checking accounts, creating budgets, saving and investing, launching small businesses, and financing college education.
Committed to closing the opportunity gap in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, our STEM programs provide innovative and creative learning experiences. Our after-school and summer environments offer unique opportunities to advance STEM knowledge and increase interest in STEM-related careers through hands-on activities and projects.
At Boys & Girls Clubs of The Big Bend, we believe in developing servant-leaders who understand the joy of helping others and giving back to their communities.
Our premier recognition program, Youth of the Year fosters a new generation of leaders within our Clubs. Each year, we nominate outstanding high school members to represent our organization at local, state, and potentially national levels. This program celebrates academic achievement, service to Club and community, and personal development.
We recognize the strong correlation between health and overall well-being. Our recreation programs encourage members to disconnect from electronic devices and experience the benefits of physical activity, teamwork, and social engagement.
Our Gamesroom offers members opportunities to socialize while enjoying activities such as pool, bumper pool, ping pong, board games, foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, and more. These interactions help improve motor skills, teach structure through rules and regulations, and foster good sportsmanship and fair play in a supervised, positive environment.
